Medics were not members of the JSCO command. Mills was NOT part of JSOC or CJTF 20. 2nd battalion company D medics went to CJTF 20 out of RR Saudi Arabia. Mills was in the HHC with the 1st battalion. This is confirmed by multiple higher level medics of the 2nd brigade.
Multiple members of Mills’ brigade do not know him; others recall him from Fort Bragg but insist that he was not engaged in combat.
Mills’ medals are “participation medals” - i.e., they were for being in the military and/or for being part of a unit who saw combat even though he himself did not. Five of his medals are currently under official investigation.
